Selecting the Right Emitter for Healthier Plants

Gardens often contain a wide variety of plants, each with different watering requirements. Selecting the right emitter helps ensure plants receive the correct amount of water while improving efficiency and reducing waste. Here are some recommendations for common garden plants.

Vegetables

Vegetable gardens often change from season to season, with different crops requiring varying amounts of water and coverage. Trees

Trees generally require a larger volume of water and a wider wetted area than smaller plants. Mini sprinklers are often the preferred option as they distribute water over a broader area, encouraging healthy root development beyond the trunk. The Rotor Rain® Plus Mini Sprinkler is an excellent choice for young and established trees, providing uniform water distribution and reliable performance. For young trees, the integrated snap-off deflector tab can be left in place to concentrate irrigation within the root zone. As the tree matures, the deflector can be removed to provide full-circle coverage and a larger wetted area.
